| The San Diego Padres signed Jose Cruz to a one-year deal on December 12, 2006.
Cruz played in 86 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2006, appearing at all three outfield positions. The 32-year-old batted .233 (52-for-223) with 16 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 17 RBI and five stolen bases before he was designated for assignment on August 1. |
